Agrochemicals are the wide range of chemicals (i.e. pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, etc.) used in agricultural sector to increase production and meet increasing demand of crop which will fulfil the increasing population rate globally.
This increasing demand of chemicals, and higher production is eventually producing more wastewater. The wastewater from these industries is found to be toxic due to nature of chemicals. The wastewater contains different salts and objectionable chemicals which must be removed before discharged in fresh water.
These chemicals due to their complex nature and reactions create fouling problems in the wastewater treatment equipments like Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes or Micro/Ultra /Nano filtration membranes. The rejects are
concentrated and need to be treated properly due to stringent government regulations and to reduce environmental impact. Several countries are utilizing Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) concept to treat wastewater. Evaporators (MEE or MVR) used in the ZLD process foul significantly which affects evaporation rate and increase operational cost.
Using Klaren’s Self-cleaning Fluidized Bed Heat Exchanger Technology, fouling or scaling of the salts can be avoided and plant maintenance expenses can be reduced. Based on acidic or basic / alkaline nature of the wastewater, the cleaning particles of our system can be selected to have maximum benefits.
The operations for which we can help:
- Process water with undesired impurities which may cause fouling
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) reject
