Power plants differ in many aspects like type of fuel (Nuclear, Coal, Gas or Oil), technology applied (CCGT or Conventional Boiler) and Auxiliaries like flue gas treatment but what they have in common is that they use water. Water is used as boiler feed water; cooling tower make up water and/or water to cool the condensers. Besides, it can be required to treat wastewater that could come from a RO plant to make boiler feed water or wastewater that comes from processes like flue gas de-sulphurisation.
Fouling of the condensers is very important factor driving plant efficiency which can be effectively treated with the sponge ball system from our parent company Taprogge. More severe fouling which could happen in the treatment plants for waste water could be treated using evaporators that apply the self-cleaning concept. In these evaporators fouling will result in a loss of capacity and will induce high maintenance costs.
With the Klaren’s self-cleaning heat exchanger technology, you can achieve up to zero fouling operations in your liquid stream, keep system clean and run plant without any operational constraints.
The possible operations are:
- Condensor cleaning system to mitigate the fouling in cooling water streams
- Wastewater treatment plants for saline brines coming from a RO plant to make boiler feed water
- Wastewater treatment plants for saline brines coming from a RO plant that treats the cooling water blow down
- Wastewater treatment plants for effluent that comes from flue gas treatment facilities
