For a more efficient process, the client at hand requires that a clarified mother liquor (ML) in the plant is further cooled. However, this ML is saturated with gypsum and contains their final product Zinc. Upon cooling, gypsum will usually precipitate in the heat exchanger tubes reducing the heat exchanger capacity. To proof the zero-fouling performance of the KLAREN self-cleaning technology, a test unit is installed at the client site and test work will be carried out in the coming months.
